Oliver Stone + James Cromwell does not equal Oliver Cromwell

Recently Michael Medved interviewed actor James Cromwell. I'd always been under the impression that of all te actors in Hollywood, Mr. Cromwell would be among the smart ones. Alas, his interview personality shows that even the great actors are victim to the same inanities as Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Tom Cruise, Sean Penn et al. The argument (when it came up) centered around Kitty Kelley's biography on George W. Bush. When Mr. Medved dismissed the book, Mr. Cromwell got very very defensive.
